Yayoi Kusama Pumpkins with Polkas and L.A.

We have posted on Yayoi Kusama in the past. (Click HERE) for other posts.  If interested in finding out more about Yayoi Kusama, Click HERE.

I did this project with 8th grade early in the fall.  It was a filler lesson that was completed in 2 class periods.

Directions:
The kids drew pumpkins on black 12 x 12 construction paper.
The kids filled in the pumpkins.
The kids outlined with white oil pastels.

Recently, the 2 Soul Sisters tried to get in to see Yayoi Kusama's Infinity Mirrors at The Broad in Los Angeles.  We arrived 3 hours before the opening of the museum, but failed to get a ticket to see the Infinity Mirror Exhibit.  We will get a ticket when Kusama's Infinity Mirror exhibit comes to The High Museum in Atlanta.

Look at 1965 and 1969 playing a game of catch with Yayoi Kusama's ball!

We had fun in L.A.  The trip to LA reminds me of L.A. Woman by The Doors.
