A Spin-Off on Atsuko Tanaka and The Circle

I really like Atsuko Tanaka's work.  I tried to do a "spin off" of her work with my 8th graders.  For a little information on Atsuko Tanaka, click HERE.

Atsuko Tanaka, (born Feb. 10, 1932, Osaka, Japan—died Dec. 3, 2005, near Nara, Japan), Japanese artist who, was a leading avante-garde artist, best known for her experimental works of the 1950s and ’60s.

Directions:
The kids made circles with templates.
The kids painted with acrylic paint.
I poured house paint from some gallons of leftover paint into small cups.
The kids drizzled the house paint over their painting.

L👀K!

Here's a good song about a Circle.
