Frosty and Rizzi!

What do you get when you cross Frosty the Snowman and James Rizzi Art?
Have a look below.

Directions:
Have kids draw a snowman with a "James Rizzi" bird on a carrot nose.
Then, the kids will use crayon to color the snowman and bird with WARM COLORS.
In the second class period, I had the kids do swirls with white oil pastels.
Then, I told the kids to use watercolor to paint the background with COOL COLORS.

I really liked the project.  The kids had to put on their winter "critical thinking hat" for this art activity.

  1. So cute, great way to combine an artist study with the traditional snowman drawing.
