Gustav Klimt - A Whole lotta Possiblities For Multiple Ideas For An Art Lesson

We had a great time with this lesson that I found on
I introduced Klimt and we did some research. Several kids had seen the movie that came out about Klimt.   (The Woman in Gold)
Have you seen the movie? if not, it is a must see. Amazing story. Check out the true story.

We used the face and hand template found on

We started out with patterns and black and white in one class.
Then other classes wanted to add color and patterns.

it just kind of grew and took on its own. Each kid had a different spin on how to embellish the woman in gold. Should they do it in all Zentangles or multiple patterns of color. It was cool to see just what they came up with. I had some glitter used in a 6th grade post but I will save that for another post =)

Needless to say this was a stellar lesson on Art History!
