Preschool Shares Shapes

Here are some examples of preschool sharing their knowledge of shapes.

There are lots of shapes on this little dude below.

Nothing square about this truck!

It would be fun flying a kite with some blush on it's cheeks.

What about Humpty Dumpty?  Isn't he shaped kind of like an oval?  I love this Krystal commercial.  Check out Humpty Dumpty's wife, Carol, at the end.  She is one sad gal.

Here is oval Humpty Dumpty before Krystal fried him in the pan.  I guess Humpty did not fall too hard this time.  The BAND-AID seems to be holding the crack together quite nicely.

Construction paper heart flowers are much cheaper than FTD Flowers.

Like this Mr. Shapely, the Scarecrow?

Zoom into space in this roaring rectangle rocket!

I thought about shapes and a certain song came to mind.  Long ago, I thought the song was "Willie Go Round in Circles!"  Now, I found out the song is "Will It Go Round in Circles?"  The song was written by Billy Preston and Bruce Fisher.  Billy Preston was the singer performing the song about circles.

Billy Preston was pretty legit.  He was a virtuoso keyboardist, especially on the Hammond organ.  Billy played with The Beatles, Little Richard, Sam Cooke, Ray Charles, George Harrison, Eric Clapton, Joe Cocker, Steve Winwood, The Rolling Stones, Norah Jones, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers (my fav).  Unfortunately, drugs and alcohol were a factor that lead to his death in 2006.

Here's Billy singing about circles, not Willie.  Ha.
