by karen #1965 3rd grade teacher well, i like keith haring stuff...it is simple, but cool...kids can identify with it...they think, hey, he is a famous artist...i can draw like that...so i talked about keith and we looked at the this site...
haringkids.com...and i got the kids to draw their own "keith things"...and i went down to the copy machine and blew them up all different sizes on different colors of paper...then, i got kids to draw lines with chalk on black paper...like this...
now one of my kids...well she just kinda goes to her own beat and tune...and i like it...here is her grid..that is not really a grid, but is is getting down and creative...so who cares...?
and then...they glue their "keith things" on the black paper with chalk...
and i hung 'em high and hung 'em low!
keith is on everything...
