Words On Your Wall....

So, what words are on your wall????? These words are always posted in my classroom...

Everything I needed to know I learned in the Art Room! Never say anything unkind about something a classmate has created. Don't hog all the colors. A picture is more interesting with contrast, movement and different points of view-- So is Life! Be kind to yourself if all your pictures don't turn out-- it happens to all artists. Your most patient model is the one in the mirror... learn from looking at yourself and be patient. Say it with paintings, paste pictures and creations-- making it means much more. Keep an open mind about different kinds of art-- you might really enjoy it. Purple houses, pink grass-- there is no right or wrong way to color your picture-- honor your creative voice-- it makes you unique. Stand back and look at your project-- more ideas will come to you. CREATE from your HEART, it will show-- others will sense it.

That my friends is my question for you all....what words are on your wall. No, not on your Facebook Wall! But your wall in life? If you had a billboard in your house, classroom or car- what would the words say? What lesson would you want to teach to others?

Just something for you to ponder here on Groundhog Day, 2010! Life is a journey .... NOT a guided tour. So don't miss the ride and have a great time going around -- you don't get a second shot at it, you know.

This post reminds me of one of my favorite modern artist...Fred Babb He has some super cool sayings. Check it out. It might just spark a little creative moment in you!
